Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali’s future with the club appears to be up in the air, with reports suggesting that he could be set to depart the Chloorkop outfit in the coming months.
According to sources, Jali has been involved in an incident which has put his relationship with management and technical staff at risk, and his agent Mike Makaab recently told the Siya Crew that he is looking to finalize the player’s future within the next week or two.
It is understood that Sundowns are open to parting ways with Jali, whose contract expires at the end of June, with clubs such as Cape Town City and AmaZulu reportedly monitoring the situation.
Another player who is reportedly in hot water at Sundowns is midfielder Sipho Mbule, who has not travelled with the squad for their last two CAF Champions League matches against Coton Sport of Cameroon and Egypt’s Al Ahly. Sources have confirmed that Mbule is training, but he is not expected to be part of the Nedbank Cup side against Marumo Gallants tonight.
Makaab, who manages both players, was not available for comment.
