Andile Jali’s future at Mamelodi Sundowns may be uncertain, but the midfielder is not short of suitors. Reports suggest that Kaizer Chiefs, AmaZulu, and Cape Town City are all interested in signing the 32-year-old.
Jali, who is the reigning Premiership midfielder of the season, has been struggling to break into the starting line-up at Sundowns recently. This follows an incident which has landed him in trouble with management and the technical team.
Chiefs are believed to be in the market for a defensive midfielder following the departure of Njabulo Blom a little over two months ago and Jali is one of the players they are considering. The Soweto giants have previously signed players from Sundowns, such as Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Leonardo Castro, Khama Billiat, and Keagan Dolly.
Jali has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season, but is yet to feature in the CAF Champions League. He was left out of the matchday squad for the Nedbank Cup last 16 clash against Marumo Gallants on Thursday night, and indications are that he is not going to feature much before the end of the season.
