Mamelodi Sundowns are set to part ways with their Head of Methodology and Academy, Shawn Bishop, as the experienced coach is on the verge of a move to Europe.
According to sources close to the Siya crew, Bishop has recently returned from Portugal after completing his Masters in High Performance Football from the Faculty of Human Movement at the University of Lisbon.
It appears that Bishop has left a lasting impression in the country, as he is now set to join one of the biggest football clubs in the country.
Bishop has had two separate spells with Mamelodi Sundowns. He first joined the club in 2011 and stayed for two years, before returning in 2013 and staying until 2021.
During his time at the club, Bishop has been an integral part of their success and has helped to develop some of the club’s most talented players.
The Siya crew wishes Bishop all the best for his move to Europe and will keep fans updated on his progress.
