Mokwena concluded by stating that the club will deal with the matter internally.
Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has addressed the recent reports of Sipho Mbule and Andile Jali arriving at training inebriated, alluding to the fact that the situation is an internal matter.
Mokwena, speaking in a press conference after the 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch on Sunday, appealed to the media to respect the club’s code of conduct and that he has two responsibilities – to protect the club and the players.

“Before I’m a coach, I’m a human being and before they are players they are human beings and so we have to be very careful sometimes not to go to the side where we affect the person, only because we’re targeting the professional,” Mokwena said.
He went on to reiterate his stance for the club to protect the players, as “no one is perfect”.
“It becomes very important for the football club not to just protect the professionals, including myself but also the human being because like in corporate, like in every other job, no one is perfect,” he said.
Mokwena concluded by stating that the club will deal with the matter internally. Jali has not been in the squad since the reports emerged, while Mbule was used as a late substitute in the draw against Stellenbosch.
