Mamelodi Sundowns have revealed that none of their players have requested to leave the club on loan in the January transfer window. Head coach Rulani Mokwena said that the players are content to bide their time and wait for their chance, despite limited game time.
The Brazilians currently have nine players out on loan at various clubs, including Grant Margerman, Siyanda Msani, and Sammy Seabi who are all playing in the DStv Premiership.
Mokwena told journalists after their win over Richards Bay: “In relation to transfers, nothing yet and no one has knocked on my door yet to say they want to leave, so the players are happy to be here, and we are happy to have them here.
If that’s if that’s the status quo, we continue to work and try to make sure that we are all happy to be at service for Mamelodi Sundowns football club, because that’s what’s very important.” The young coach has led the Brazilians to five consecutive wins since taking over the reins, and Ronwen Williams is the club’s most used player this season. Meanwhile, Katlego Mohamme is amongst those yet to feature for the Brazilians this campaign.
