On Monday, important decisions regarding players are expected to be made by Orlando Pirates during the current transfer window, according to sources close to the club. This comes after the Buccaneers have lost three games in succession in their DStv Premiership campaign.
The club has already loaned Ntsako Makhubela to Golden Arrows, and more changes are expected to follow. Reports from Soccer Laduma (edition 1304) have indicated that Pirates striker Kwame Peprah is being targeted by Maritzburg United, who are looking to reinforce their squad in order to avoid relegation.
Peprah finished the previous season as the top goal scorer for Bucs with seven goals, but has struggled for game time under the club’s head coach Jose Riveiro, making only six appearances in all competitions this season. The signing of veteran striker Ndumiso Mabena has further diminished Peprah’s chances of regular game time.
Sources have confirmed to the Siya crew that talks are in progress between the Soweto giants and the Team of Choice for the 21-year-old to possibly finish the season with the Pietermaritzburg-based outfit on loan.
