Malesela’s Baroka Runs Riot, Klate Enjoys a Winning Start!

Baroka bagged two victories on the trot after thrashing Black Leopards
4-0 in the Limpopo derby at the Global Stadium on Sunday, 22 October. The
sides went to the break deadlocked before Siyabonga Mthombeni opened the
scoring for Bakgaga towards the hour-mark. Kabelo Kgositsile doubled the
lead for Dan Malesela’s charges with 21 minutes remaining and Dan Ndlovu
put the game to bed with eight minutes left. Khomotjo Lekoloane then added
a fourth goal for Bakgaga in the last minute.

Maritzburg United could not win their third game in a row after they were
held to a goalless draw by Hungry Lions at Windhoek Draught Park on Sunday
afternoon. The Team of Choice remained in second spot on the log but fell
four points behind leaders Orbit College. Ditau Dia Rora, meanwhile, also
saw their three-game winning run come to an end. They remain third on the
table, equal on points with Maritzburg.

Orbit College maintained their position at the top of the table after
edging Pretoria Callies 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at TUT Stadium. Orbit
stretched their lead at the top of the standings to four points while
Callies slipped down to second-from-bottom on the table with six points.

Marumo Gallants dropped points for the second successive match after they
were held to a 1-1 draw by Upington City on Saturday afternoon at Isak
Steyl Stadium. Saziso Magawana broke the deadlock for Gallants on 25
minutes but Upington found the equaliser early in the second stanza.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa find themselves in ninth spot on the table with ten
points while Upington are three points behind in 12th spot.

Magesi stretched their winless run to three matches after a goalless draw
against Platinum City Rovers on Saturday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba
Stadium. Dikwena settled for fourth spot on the standings with 15 points
while City Rovers moved up to 14th with just six points.

Milford won back-to-back matches after beating Venda Football Academy 2-0
on Friday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium. Mvelo Zikakayo broke the
deadlock for Milford just before the break and Menzi Chili sealed the
three points with the second goal seven minutes before time. The win took
Milford up to tenth on the log with eight points while Venda dropped down
to the bottom of the log.

Casric Stars lost their third game in a row after a narrow 1-0 defeat to
NB La Masia on Friday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium. After a goalless
first stanza, Shane Saralina broke the deadlock for La Masia early in the
second stanza and that was enough for them as they ended a two-game losing
streak. La Masia went up to seventh on the table with 11 points and Casric
dropped down to 11th on the log with eight points.

University of Pretoria extended their unbeaten run to seven matches after
playing to a goalless draw against JDR Stars on Friday afternoon at Giant
Stadium. JDR and AmaTuks remained equal on 13 points in fifth and sixth
spots on the table respectively.
