On Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs made a shock announcement that saw Molefi
Ntseki relieved of his duties as head coach. The club also revealed that
Cavin Johnson had been appointed as the interim head coach, while Arthur
Zwane had been redeployed to the club’s development.
However, the future of Aubrey Mathibe, who was appointed as the club’s
goalkeeper coach in April last year, remains unclear.
According to sources close to the club, Mathibe’s position is in limbo
and there is a possibility he may leave Naturena. Mathibe formed part of
both Zwane and Ntseki’s technical teams, and his absence from the list of
staff members made no mention of has left many questioning his future at
the club.
Dillon Sheppard remains in his position as the club’s assistant coach,
but it remains to be seen if Mathibe will continue to be part of the
Amakhosi technical team going forward.
