Orlando Pirates will be looking to boost their position on the log when
they take on AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening. The
Buccaneers, who are currently 14th on the standings, have had a few
matches to catch up on, but could now have a selection headache as more
players have recovered from injuries while others have returned from
international duty.
Enterprising midfielder Monnapule Saleng and defender Nkosinathi Sibisi
have been back at training with the rest of their teammates after the
international break, as well as Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo who has been a
notable absentee in recent matches. Furthermore, Zakhele Lepasa, who has
been delayed on his impressive start to the season by injury, is said to
have made progress.
The Buccaneers have had Thembinkosi Lorch and Vincent Pule back in the
line-up for the Carling Knockout match against Cape Town Spurs on Friday.
However, there have been doubts about the availability of goalkeeper Sipho
Chaine who was replaced by Melusi Buthelezi against Spurs after picking up
an injury.
Pirates will be hoping to make the most of the new players available to
them as they look to improve their position on the standings and make a
push for the top eight.
