Monday, Cape Town City are said to be open to granting a move to one of their stars, Thabo Nodada, according to sources. The Ixopo-born central midfielder has been linked with a move to Gauteng clubs such as Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Kaizer Chiefs in recent seasons due to his sublime performances.
Previously, City had prioritised listening to offers from overseas for the 27-year-old, however, it is now thought that the club would also listen to local offers to cash in on the player, as his contract runs out in June 2024.
So far this season, Nodada has featured in 13 league matches and has scored one goal plus one assist as Eric Tinkler’s side is having an inconsistent campaign.
In December, the Citizens finally agreed to a move for defender-cum-midfielder Craig Martin to join Orlando Pirates after being linked with the Soweto giants for some time. Terrence Mashego and Bradley Ralani are some of the other players to have been sold by City in recent times and now Nodada is touted to be among the next stars in line, according to sources.
