Dolly Focuses on the Future After a ‘Tough’ Week at Chiefs

Friday, 05 January 2023 saw Kaizer Chiefs’ vice-captain Keagan Dolly
speak out on a tough week for the club at Naturena. The team had recently
been eliminated from the Carling Knockout at the hands of AmaZulu, and had
also seen a change of coaches, with Molefi Ntseki replaced by Cavin
Johnson, and Arthur Zwane redeployed to the club’s development.

Despite the challenges faced, Dolly and his teammates are looking forward
to the upcoming match against high-flying Golden Arrows. “Obviously we are
disappointed from our last game and not qualifying for the next round of
the Carling Cup, but I think this is an important weekend for us. We have
to come back and not dwell on the past. If we can win this weekend, we can
change our mindset and start winning,” Dolly said.

The Arrows will prove to be a stern test for Amakhosi, but Dolly is
confident his side can overcome the KZN-based outfit. “They are confident
at the moment. I’m sure they will be thinking we are down and out going
into this game but I feel it is for us to show them that we are Kaizer
Chiefs and prove to them what we are made of. We will go there with the
mindset of getting nothing less than the three points, and I believe we
have the capability to do that,” he said, adding, “However, we will not
underestimate them, we know we will have to work hard, but we are prepared
to do what it takes.”
