On Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs announced that they had parted ways with
Molefi Ntseki and replaced him with Cavin Johnson as the head coach. Since
then, several coaches have been linked with the club, including Nasreddine
Nabi, Manqoba Mngqithi, Muhsin Ertugral, Sven Vandenbroeck, and Paul
Smalley.
Now, sources have revealed that Bulgarian mentor Dimitar Pantev has become
one of the latest coaches to be offered to the club. Pantev is currently
the head coach at FC Johansen in the Sierra Leonean National Premier
League.
“Dimitar Pantev is an experienced coach who is currently the head coach of
FC Johansen in Sierra Leone. He has always been interested in coaching in
Africa and an opportunity at a big club like Chiefs is of interest to him.
The coach’s representatives in South Africa have been given a mandate to
look for opportunities for him and Chiefs are one of the clubs he is being
offered to,” said the source.
The 47-year-old UEFA A Licence holder is a five-time Bulgarian League
Champion who has previously been voted for as the best coach in that
country.
