Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Cole Alexander has described his season so far as a rollercoaster ride, with injuries having hampered his progress and limited his game time. Alexander, 33, is currently on the mend after missing out on Chiefs’ last two games against Golden Arrows and Sekhukhune United respectively.
He is also expected to miss their clash against AmaZulu on Friday. Speaking at the Nedbank Cup draw in Sandton on Thursday, Alexander expressed his disappointment at his lack of playing time this season.
“It’s a bit of a roller coaster for me,” he said. “I really feel like I can give much more, and I have much more to give. I don’t want to say luck wasn’t on my side in terms of things that are out of my control like injuries and so on, but I consider myself a good pro and I always feel like I have a lot to give.”
Despite his injury setbacks, Alexander remains determined to fight for his place at Chiefs and reclaim his spot in the team. He will be hoping to make a full recovery and get back to action soon.
