On Saturday, Marumo Gallants moved to the top of Group A in the CAF
Confederation Cup with a 2-0 victory over Algerian giants USM Alger.
The match was held at the Dobsonville Stadium and saw Gallants make only
one change to the side that drew with TS Galaxy in the league, as they
were boosted by the return of defender Olivier Toure.
Letsie Koapeng doubled the lead for the hosts.

Lesiba Nku gave the hosts the lead within seven minutes with a strike in
the box, and Gallants looked to double their lead in the second half.
They eventually did so through Letsie Koapeng in the last 15 minutes,
with a close-range shot from a rebound after the Algerian goalkeeper had
denied Mphambaniso and Chivaviro in quick succession.
Gallants sat deep in the dying minutes but nearly conceded in the last
minute, as Arubi made a crucial save to deny Abderraouf Othmani on a
volley in the box.
The South African outfit pulled two points clear of second-placed Alger
at the top of Group A.
