AmaZulu Football Club have officially appointed Pedro Dias as their new
Director of Football. The 50-year-old Portuguese-born brings a wealth of
experience from his past as a former professional player, coach, and
director of football.
Club President, Sandile Zungu, expressed his delight at the appointment:
“It is with absolute pleasure that we welcome Pedro to AmaZulu. After a
series of interviews, we are sure that we have our own person. He has made
Usuthu his assignment. He impressed us in the interviews. We just could
not wait for him to land here and begin his role in assisting AmaZulu to
develop the Usuthu way, and to see greater intervention between the
development ranks and the senior team.”
Dias has already visited South African football academies in and around
Pretoria, Rustenburg, and Johannesburg in 2015, and also had a two-week
networking exercise at Platinum Stars, Ajax Cape Town, and Santos.

With his wealth of experience and knowledge of the South African football
