Cape Town City FC have not given up on signing former Kaizer Chiefs
forward Khama Billiat, who has been without a club since the start of the
current season when his contract expired.
Despite reported interest from various clubs such as Egyptian giants
Zamalek and Tanzanian side Young Africans, Billiat is still looking for a
club.
According to a source close to the player, Cape Town City could be the
only South African club in the running for the player. The source
indicated that Billiat is still in Saudi Arabia where he has been training
with the hope of securing a move to a new club.
Cape Town City boss John Comitis confirmed that they are waiting to hear
from the player, who is still in Saudi Arabia. Comitis explained that they
will see if anything happens for him there and, if not, they will take it
from there when he returns.
