Casric Stars, a Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit, have appointed
Sundra Govinder as their new head coach.
This comes after the club parted ways with former coach Ashwin Sutton on
Monday. Govinder, a former Kaizer Chiefs scout and head of development,
was serving as the club’s technical director.
He has now been given the reins of the club and is expected to lead them
to success in the upcoming season.
The club released a statement announcing the appointment, saying: “Casric
Stars are delighted to announce the appointment of Sundra Govinder as the
new head coach. We believe that he is the right man to take the club
forward and are confident that he will bring the success we are looking
for.”
Govinder has previously worked with Kaizer Chiefs in various capacities,
including as a scout and head of development.
He has also worked as a coach in the lower divisions of South African
football.
The club is now hoping that he can bring his experience and knowledge to
the club and help them achieve success.
