AmaZulu have made a big decision as part of their plans for the future,
extending the contract of head coach Romain Folz. The French-Moroccan
coach, appointed in October last year on a short-term deal, has now been
offered a new three-year deal to run until June 2026.

Folz has led the Durban-based club to the Last 16 of the Nedbank Cup and
is being lauded for improving the team’s organisation in their push for a
respectable finish in the DStv Premiership. Earlier in the season, the
tactician also led AmaZulu to the final of the MTN8, and has now been
rewarded for his good work.
“The coach is getting a new deal at AmaZulu. It’s something that has been
discussed and it’s a deal to run until 2026. The club is very happy with
the coach,” confirmed an insider.
Fohloza, as Folz is fondly known, will be leading Usuthu in their next
fixture this Saturday at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium against TS Galaxy,
hoping to secure a positive result.
