On Saturday, Stellenbosch FC secured a 2-1 victory over Chippa United at
the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. Iqraam Rayners, who joined Stellenbosch
from SuperSport United on deadline day, scored the winner in stoppage
time.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 25th minute, with Devin Titus
finding the back of the net for his fourth goal of the season. Chippa
United would go on to level matters on the hour mark through Trevor
Mathiane’s header.

Both sides had chances to win the game in the latter stages of the second
half, but it was Rayners who eventually snatched the winner in the dying
moments of the match. The striker rounded the goalkeeper before firing
home from close range.
The result leaves Stellenbosch in sixth place on the DStv Premiership
table, while Chippa United remain in 11th position.
