Football fans in Bloemfontein have been waiting with bated breath for the
return of professional football to the City of Roses, and their wait is
finally over. On Tuesday, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) confirmed
that they will be relocating to the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in the
city, starting with their fixture against Casric Stars on 18 February.
The move has been highly anticipated, with news of the mooted relocation
of TTM having been doing the rounds for some time. The team, which hails
from Limpopo, currently campaign in the Motsepe Foundation Championship,
and find themselves second from bottom having won just five of their 17
matches this season.
The relocation of TTM marks a new era for football in Bloemfontein, with
the city having been without a professional team since the sale of
Bloemfontein Celtic back in 2021. This was followed by the sale of Free
State Stars to Casric last year, leaving the football-loving city without
a team to call their own.

With the relocation of TTM, Bloemfontein will now have a professional
football team to call their own once again, and football fans in the city
will no doubt be looking forward to the return of the beautiful game to
the City of Roses.
