Orlando Pirates midfielder Goodman Mosele is in a race against time to be
fit for the team’s upcoming match against Maritzburg United on Friday.
Mosele was forced to be substituted within the opening five minutes of the
Buccaneers’ Nedbank Cup match against All Stars last weekend, after
picking up an injury.
The Soweto giants went on to win the cup match and have since been drawn
to host Venda Football Academy in the next round of the competition. With
the team getting back into league action this week, there have been
concerns on whether Mosele will be available for selection.
In their latest update, Pirates have confirmed that Mosele is set for a
late fitness test ahead of the clash in Orlando. “The midfielder is now in
a race against time to be fit for the clash on Friday,” the club confirmed
on their official website.
The team will be hoping for a positive outcome from the fitness test, as
they look to extend their unbeaten run in the league.
