Chiefs Return to Winning Form While Pirates Maintain Top Position

On Saturday, Orlando Pirates maintained the top spot in the DStv Diski
Challenge after cruising to a 3-1 win over Chippa United at Woodson
Stadium. Njabulo Mndebele opened the scoring for Pirates with a strike
from outside the box and Mpumelelo Ndaba doubled the visitors’ lead just
before the break. Chippa pulled a goal back on 65 minutes, but Mohau Nkota
secured the win two minutes later with a moment of individual brilliance.

Kaizer Chiefs won their third game in four matches after edging Sekhukhune
United 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium. The win took
Chiefs up to fifth on the table with a game in hand. Meanwhile, Mamelodi
Sundowns extended their unbeaten run to three matches after they were held
to a 1-1 draw by Swallows on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

SuperSport United won their sixth game in a row after a come-from-behind
2-1 win over Marumo Gallants on Sunday morning at Lucas Moripe Stadium,
while second-placed Stellenbosch returned to winning ways after a
resounding 3-1 win over Golden Arrows on Sunday morning at Sugar Ray Xulu
Stadium. Nkosikhona Ndaba scored the winner for Richards Bay as they edged
Royal AM on Saturday afternoon at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Other results included Maritzburg United losing 4-1 to TS Galaxy and
AmaZulu losing 1-0 to Cape Town City.
