On Wednesday, an insider has given positive feedback on one of Orlando
Pirates’ new signings, Bienvenu Eva Nga, despite the striker’s slow start
in the Soweto giants’ colours.
Before joining Pirates, Eva Nga had been high in confidence and was one of
the regular scoring strikers in the league for his 10 goals for Chippa
United last season. However, at Pirates, the burly forward has had a slow
start and has scored just one goal from 10 appearances in the league for
Bucs so far this season.
The arrival of his countryman Souaibou Marou has taken some time to
adjust, although indications are that the technical team has been
impressed with his progress from the training ground. Against Kaizer
Chiefs on the weekend, Marou was an unused substitute as the Buccaneers
lost 1-0 at FNB Stadium. Since his arrival in January, the 22-year-old has
featured in one match so far when he came on in the dying minutes against
Maritzburg United during the 2-1 victory.
An insider has given a positive review on the new striker, saying, “The
new striker from Cameroon is likely to become one of the most talked about
players in the league once he starts playing regularly. He is adjusting
well and has got all the qualities you need from a good player.”
