Mamelodi Sundowns will switch their focus back to the Nedbank Cup when
they visit Marumo Gallants in the round of 16 on Thursday evening. The
Brazilians have not been in domestic action since booking their spot in
the last 16 with a narrow 3-2 win over Richards Bay just before
mid-February. They have since played three successive CAF Champions League
matches, where they dropped points for the first time but remained top of
their group after a 2-2 draw with Al Ahly over the weekend.

Marumo Gallants, on the other hand, have been in fine form since the new
technical team was appointed, with Raymond Mdaka holding the fort as
interim head coach. The Limpopo side have won four of their last five
games in all competitions and lost for the first time under Mdaka after a
2-0 loss to USM Alger in the CAF Confederation Cup group game over the
weekend.
The meetings between the sides have been tight affairs, as Sundowns edged
Gallants 1-0 in the first round clash in the league back in October last
year. Both teams have named their line-ups for the match and will be
looking to advance to the quarter-finals of the competition.
