Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly made a decision regarding the future of
attacking midfielder Kamohelo Mahlatsi.
After struggling with injuries and limited game-time since joining the
Glamour Boys from Swallows FC at the start of the season, the former
SuperSport United player is believed to be considering a loan move in
order to gain more regular playing time.
A source close to the club told the Siya crew, “It’s not an easy decision
to take, but for the benefit of the team as well as the player, a loan
move is what will help at this time. Remember, he still has two years on
his contract, so it would not be fair for him to just sit without playing
or playing very little for all that period.”
Mahlatsi joined Chiefs at the start of the current season, alongside
Dillan Solomons, George Motlou and Kgaogelo Sekgota, but has faced tough
competition in the midfield. The former University of Pretoria midfielder
has made only four Premiership appearances and featured once in the MTN8
competition.
The club is now believed to be considering a loan move for the player in
order to allow him to gain more regular playing time and develop his
skills further.
