Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bradley Ralani could be set to join
Cape Town Spurs after being spotted at the club’s base, Ikamva. Sources
indicate that the 36-year-old is close to signing a deal with the PSL
club.
Ralani has been without a club since the end of last season and has been
assessing his options in recent weeks. His arrival at Ikamva comes after
the recent changes at the club, with Shaun Bartlett departing and Sean
Connor taking over as ‘temporary head coach’, while Vasili Manousakis has
been brought in as an assistant coach.
Ralani has previously worked with Manousakis at Cape Town City and is
expected to bring his experience to Spurs, who currently sit bottom of the
league table. According to informants, the parties are close to concluding
the deal, subject to a medical.
In the one-and-a-half seasons with Sundowns, Ralani scored six goals and
provided three assists from 29 matches in all competitions. He is expected
to help Spurs as they attempt to move up the standings in matches leading
up to the December break.
