On Tuesday, the Nedbank Cup quarter-final fixtures were revealed, with
Orlando Pirates being drawn against Dondol Stars, the giant killers from
the ABC Motsepe League.
This round of the tournament consists of seven teams from the DStv
Premiership and one lower-league team. Dondol Stars have been the surprise
package of the season, eliminating SuperSport United and AmaZulu from the
competition.
Now, they will face the daunting task of taking on Soweto giants Orlando
Pirates in the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, defending champions Orlando
Pirates will take on Stellenbosch FC.
The other quarter-final fixtures include Mamelodi Sundowns vs
Stellenbosch FC, Royal AM vs Kaizer Chiefs, and Chippa United vs
Sekhukhune United. The Nedbank Cup quarter-finals are sure to provide some
exciting matches, with the likes of Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs set
to battle it out in the last eight.
