Starting XI: Pirates vs. CT Spurs – Lorch Makes a Return!

On Friday night, Orlando Pirates will be aiming to continue their cup
form when they host Cape Town Spurs in the Carling Knockout round of 16.

The Buccaneers are coming off a victory in the MTN8 Cup, where they
defeated Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 in a penalty shootout following a 0-0 draw
in extra-time.

They are looking to restore their early season goal-scoring form, having
scored only one goal in their last five games in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Spurs are still searching for their first win of the season
after losing their eighth consecutive game in as many league matches, most
recently a 2-1 loss to SuperSport United before the FIFA break.

Interim coach Sean Connor, who replaced Shaun Bartlett, will be hoping to
have had enough time to work on his squad during the two-week break.

The last time the sides met was in a 2018 Nedbank Cup round of 32 clash,
where Pirates won 2-0 thanks to a brace by former striker Bernard
Morrison. The match kicks off at Orlando Stadium at 19h30.
