Orlando Pirates have been linked with a move for Ivorian defender Ismael Olivier Toure as part of their plans to strengthen the squad. The 25-year-old currently plays for Marumo Gallants in the Limpopo province.
The centre-back has been instrumental in helping the team advance to the CAF Confederation Cup’s group stages for the first time in their history. Sources suggest that the Buccaneers are considering reinforcing their defence with Toure.
“Ivorian defender Olivier Toure from Marumo Gallants has been discussed for a potential move to Pirates. It was just informal talks but the player’s representatives are not ruling out the possibility of taking it further with Pirates,” said the source.

The defender has previously had trials with both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, but the moves did not materialise. It is expected that Toure will be offered to Pirates at the end of the season.
This news comes as the club is expected to conclude the signing of Cameroonian striker Marou Souaibou in the coming days, after the 22-year-old landed in Johannesburg this week from Coton Sport FC.
