Orlando Pirates are set to unleash one of their new signings this weekend against Stellenbosch FC. The Buccaneers have added Cameroonian striker Marou Souaibou to their team, as confirmed by the club on Thursday. Sources now indicate that the 22-year-old could soon be available for selection.
The highly-rated player has already received his documents, having arrived in South Africa at the beginning of the week, and has since started training with his new teammates. Depending on his readiness, the former Coton Sport player could be available for selection for this Sunday’s match against Stellies in Orlando, as confirmed by insiders.
The addition of Marou Souaibou follows the arrival of Englishman Scott Chickelday at the Buccaneers, who has taken up the role as striker coach. The message is clear from the club that scoring goals will be a priority for the team in the remaining matches of the season.
Pirates also have veteran striker Ndumiso Mabena waiting to make his debut after being signed in December for his second spell with the club. With the team’s new signings and the focus on scoring goals, Bucs fans will be hoping for a strong end to the season.
