“I have always felt that they are a team that plays a positive and entertaining style of football. The Club, the administration, coach Steve Barker and the players have all been very welcoming and made me feel right at home already. It’s a beautiful part of the country and I am really looking forward to pulling on the Stellenbosch shirt.” The club’s technical director, Anton Van Zyl, was equally pleased to have De Jong join the squad.
“We are delighted to have Andre join us,” he said. “He is a young, exciting player who will add a different dimension to our attack. We look forward to seeing him in the Stellenbosch shirt.” De Jong is the latest addition to Stellenbosch FC’s squad as they prepare for the new DStv Premiership season.
The club will be hoping that the New Zealand international can make a positive impact on the team and help them achieve their goals for the season.
